Even better than "cellardoor"

Why, oh why, do we do the things we do?  We hurt, we hate, we fear.  We do not love.  We do not give.  We do not care about others--except when it benefits us.  Why do we not just love each other?  What is fucking wrong with us?

Why do we live such disjointed lives?  Why are we so scared of being discovered as slightly different?  Why must we fear what others think?  Why do we have to judge each other?  Why does it matter how old you are physically if you are mentally an adult--or at least, more mature than many of the "adults" who are allowed to make their own decisions and live their own lives?  Why must I live with a "family" which disapproves of my existence and ultimately thinks me to be an idiot?

Why?

Why is the Best Word Ever

  1. No one knows why we are where we are in the world. No one knows why we hurt. No one knows why we fear. No one knows why human brains function the way they do or "what is fucking wrong with us". People claim to know truth, but truth is found with in one's self not through the harsh words of another. The only thing we know is what is in front of us and the feelings that runour lives. What makes us enjoy what we have? What makes us feel like dancing for no apparent reason? What makes us laugh so hard that we cry?

The only thing we can control is how we are going to spend our lives. Are we going to lay around and sulk or are we going to find comfort, love, and laughter. We can't discover anything unless we search for it and are open to what we find.

Families can alienate, but with in a family one can find strength that is incomparable to anything ever imagined. A family is defined as the basic unit of life. A family is not always the people you are blood related to, a family consists of people who love you for all your flaws, who take you by the hand and drag you through your tough times, who supports you in your proudest moments and who no matter what would put you before anything they want to do if asked.

MaddyLee find a new perspective that focuses on all the things that are good because then you can expand on those thoughts and find peace.

  2. I wrote this about two or three months ago in anger that my biological family members could be the jerks that they are. You are right about most of what you said, but most of my sentiments that go against yours come from a sense of being stuck in the same place with very little opportunity for movement. Thank you for commenting; it is appreciated. The reason that everything so far is so negative is that I wanted a really negative beginning so that I could be seen as not pretentious when I eventually break out into positivity. It is hard not to be pretentious. As it is hard to be sincere in a web-blog. So I'm trying out one extreme, and I will eventually try out the other.

  3. So, what was the trouble with your fam? (But you are right, why is a pretty nifty word.)

  4. Ah, same old thing. Dad can't appreciate intelligence over football-playing. Brothers are annoying bigots. Mother is trapped within these guidelines. Also, the added on teenagerism of not being understood.

  5. Of course stupid peeps can't appreciate brains. Sour grapes, you know, lol. But don't diss football (unless you are talking about silly American Football), football rules! ^_^

  6. You mean football as in soccer? Then yes, I entirely agree with you. However, I am inclined to dismiss American football because it is on the TV in my house almost 24/7.

  7. Aye. Soccer. Rules. American Football is for whimps. I mean, it's basically rugby only everybody puts on body armor first. Whats with that? I want the mud and the blood and the sweat and hot flesh of the other blokes directly on me. :P
