Mon pere

The other day my dad made a joke that a man at our church is a failure because his son turned out gay.  And I think that irony is hilarious--however awfully bigot-ish in nature the remark was.

    Full of irony. When the time comes, all around will see your life as a success, while he will see his life as a failure. Go figure.

    It's one thing you never forget as a teacher: ill-chosen words come back to haunt you.
